Drip sequences

Send a series of timed WhatsApp templates to each person — day 0, day 2, day 7 — with automatic stop on reply.

A drip sequence sends a series of messages to each enrolled person on their own schedule.

Build one

Drip sequences → New sequence, or save_sequence in chat.

  • Add messages in order; each waits a set time (minutes, hours or days) after the previous one — the first waits after enrolling.
  • Each message is an approved template (sequence messages go out days apart, outside the 24-hour window). Fill its variables from contact columns, the name, or fixed text.
  • Stop on reply (recommended, on by default) takes someone out as soon as they reply, so a person can answer.

Enrolling people

  • Manually: enroll a contact list (sequence page → Enroll this list) or specific numbers (enroll_in_sequence).
  • Automatically: set "Anyone added to a contact list" — every contact added to that list by an upload is enrolled.

People already enrolled are skipped, and opted-out numbers are never enrolled.

What can stop a sequence for someone

Status Why
Finished All messages sent
Stopped — replied They replied and stop-on-reply is on
Stopped — replied STOP They opted out
Stopped — removed You removed them (remove_from_sequence)
Failed A template stopped being approved, or the contact has no value for a variable

Pausing a sequence holds everyone where they are; turning it on resumes their schedules. If your plan's allowance runs out, due messages wait and retry.

The sequence page shows counts and each person's progress and next send time.
