Getting started with SendFromChat

SendFromChat runs your WhatsApp Business messaging — templates, broadcasts, inbox, auto-replies, chatbots and sequences — from a dashboard, from any AI assistant that supports MCP, and from your own app through the REST API. Every feature works in the dashboard and in chat.

Before you start

SendFromChat connects to Meta's WhatsApp Business API, so a few things on Meta's side come first:

• A number that isn't on the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app. Use a new number, or move yours off the app first. See WhatsApp Business app vs API.
• A Facebook login that can manage your Meta business. You sign in through Facebook's own window; there is no Meta developer app to create.
• A card on your WhatsApp Business account before you send templates. Meta bills it directly, separate from your SendFromChat plan.

The 30-day trial itself needs no card.

1. Create your workspace

Sign up with your email. Your workspace starts a 30-day free trial with everything except teams, one WhatsApp number and up to 1,000 messages — no card needed.

2. Connect a WhatsApp number

Open Connect WhatsApp and click Continue with Facebook. In Facebook's own window, sign in, choose your business (or create one) and pick your number — or add a new one and confirm the code Meta sends it. The window closes and the number is connected, with replies, delivery receipts and templates working straight away. There's no Meta developer app to create and nothing to copy.

New numbers are warmed up over their first days of bulk sending so WhatsApp doesn't flag a sudden blast. If your number already sends in bulk, turn warm-up off on the connected number.

Meta charges for template messages directly, to a card on your WhatsApp Business account — the connected number shows a Meta billing link to add one.

The connected number also shows Ready to send? — Meta's own check of whether it can send. It lists anything in the way with a link to fix it: most often a missing card on the WhatsApp account (which blocks templates until added), or an unverified business (which only caps how many people you can message a day). If a number is blocked, Overview shows a warning too, and your assistant brings it up first when you ask what to do next.

Then set your business profile — the photo, category, description and links people see when they open your business in WhatsApp. Click Edit profile on the connected number, or ask your assistant to update it. The display name is the one thing Meta reviews, so it's changed in WhatsApp Manager; the page links there.

3. Connect your AI assistant (optional, recommended)

In Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code, add a connector with the URL https://sendfromchat.com/api/mcp, click Connect, sign in and click Allow — nothing secret to paste. Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, Codex and other MCP clients use a private connector URL from the dashboard. See Connect your assistant.

Then just say: "Help me get set up." The assistant checks your setup and guides you through anything left.

4. Send something

• Reply to someone who messaged you — free-form, no template needed (inside the 24-hour window).
• Start a conversation — you need an approved template. Create one on Templates or ask your assistant to draft and submit it. Templates made in WhatsApp Manager appear with Sync from Meta.
• Broadcast — upload a CSV or Excel list on Contacts, then Bulk send.
• From your app — send order updates, sign-in codes and reminders with the REST API, and receive replies by webhook.
